Summer Ideas at Home
There are lots of ideas for engaging with your children at home over the Summer Holidays, which are particularly useful if your Sunday Club closes for these months.
Roots on the web have a 6 week family course where you can explore Philippians together. Each week there are different activities and practical applications for what you are reading based on such themes as ‘Shining, Loving, Living, Sharing, Running, Rejoicing.’ What is so wonderful about this, is that a family can read a Bible passage together and then chat about it and even put it into practise in ways that are relaxed and fun. Rev Mina Munns has put together lots of different bible story bag ideas and creative prayer ideas that you can easily print off and do at home. See the ‘Things to do at Home’ section of her Flame Creative Ministries BlogSpot for lots of ideas: http://flamecreativekids.blogspot.ie/p/things-to-do-at-home.html
Here are 2 reflective colouring sheets for older children (and for adults!) We found them on pinterest alongside Bible Story Telling Stones, Blessing Stones and prayer sticks. It’s a great site to browse that will spark lots of creative ideas.
